So, the aircon at work needs a new chiller, which can be replaced in October.

So in the interim the office will be closed and you can all go an play in the swimming pool until it is fixed?

I have a vague recollection that there is no strict H&S rule on what the max temp of a workplace can be. However, it does say something like 'a reasonable temperature'. I would suggest working at home and getting snarky with them. PCs will alos be raising the temperature considerably.

Ha ha. In some rooms (but not in open plan areas) the aircon is still working, but it's not so easy for those of us with desktop PCs to "just go". It feels bad, but it gets worse when I go outside - the journey home is definitely the worst bit of the day at the moment. At 31°C I doubt it's actually any hotter than it would be at home.

Apparently we were told this needed replacing years ago at a cost of £125,000. We've spent more than that on stick-tape repairs since.

I recall you saying at the time. There is vaguely cool wine here if you fancy any. I am bored. Go figure.
