I am changing cars on Thursday. The call centre assures me that sending the new insurance certificate to the garage by first class post will be adequate. I am not so sure, but I feared that trying to get them to use Special Delivery could produce a worse result. At least I rang them early this afternoon, so it should have caught today's post. And even if the call centre isn't on this continent, I'm pretty confident esure wouldn't be paying to post the documents from India. I find it annoying that the garage (or presumably the Post Office) won't accept a fax for the road tax. It's ironic in the Internet age that if I used a good old-fashioned High Street insurance broker I could get a cover note more or less instantaneously.
