uitlander today, in a slip of the tongue, coined the phrase "swear options". I believe this refers to an individual's option to swear at a fixed rate, regardless of the environment or prevailing market conditions. Like, for example, Father Jack.

Having given this some consideration I believe there is a secondary meaning as well. After a specified period of time in any situation, one acquires the right to swear. One might view this as a swear option having vested, as in "Father Jack has a fecking vest, so!"
