It's never done that before

Started the car this morning; put the lights on. One light dimmed after a couple of seconds ... OK, I need a new light bulb. But a couple of seconds later, the second one dimmed as well. No harm done - sidelights still working, and it was what passes for daylight at this time of year - but two headlight bulbs make a relatively expensive replacement (though in time I spotted Halfords offered a discount on twin packs).

Obviously the legendary Skoda engineering has been applied to the bulbs (guessing that I've replaced the originals), and the six-sigma programme requires such a short standard deviation in the lifetime of a bulb. Or maybe the second bulb was just overloaded with current.
