Today on BBC Radio 4.

Option 1: Margaret Beckett comparing Tony Blair to Winston Churchill. Does anyone remember their respective ratings in Great Britons? (I can only remember that Blair was even less rated than Diana).

Option 2: A (possibly reconstituted) episode of Absolute Power accusing a government "Director of Communications Strategy" of obtaining a lower second class degree in Geography and Mediæval Norwegian.

I hadn't previously heard Absolute Power on the radio; I was introduced to it by the TV series earlier this year. But I can see that it probably does work better on radio, for the most part.

Yes, I preferred the Radio Series.

Incidentally, the Churchill comparison is a poor one. Churchill had British soldiers massacre Iraqis; Blair has adopted the converse policy..

I particularly liked the snippet where they conclusively 'proved' that Prentice & McCabe did not exist, elevating them to the same level as god in my books.

BTW, I have finished with The Two Johns - its a pity I can't find an MP3 of such classics as 'Lady Pamela Parr' and the 'NHS Trust'.
