Is the way to the heart through the liver?

We returned from London in good time for me to cook dinner: the Venetian liver and onion stir-fry I consider a success, the home-made beetroot and swede ravioli less so. (I rolled the pastry too early, and too thickly). The dessert of rhubarb and sloe gin meringue was definitely worth the effort, too.
