Timing is everything

As I left the house this morning, I noticed someone stumbling at the roadside just out at the front. I realised it was my next-door neighbour. As I did not seem to immediately go away, she took an intent interest in the fine detail of the road surface while quasi-nonchalantly holding a black rubbish bag.

Finally, she said, "Do you mind if I put this in your bin?"

Alas, I informed her (truthfully) that my bin was rather full this week already. I am sure that said bag would have been placed in the bin some minutes after I left.

Perhaps the world divides into those (like me) who get pissed off when others take liberties like this, and those that don't; but I was delighted to expose the "community spirit" I found this morning. And as an aside, what happens when the council changes by the kg or m3?
