2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.

Now you can tell I am being honest, because the Mini Rough Guide to Copenhagen is still lying by the PC, so instead of something earnest about RSS or intellectual about quantum metaphysics, we have the rather more prosaic:

Some 45km north of Copenhagen, on the coast facing Sweden, is Helsingør, one of the most popular day-trips from the capital.

No tagging, you've got the instructions if you want to do it.

RIP Malcolm Arnold

I would hardly have thought he was a household name, but the airwaves were full of the news of the death of Sir Malcolm Arnold this morning. I note that like many great composers he has left the magic number of nine symphonies to the world. I shall have to investigate them, as my knowledge of his music is limited to the Cornish Dances, The Bridge on the River Kwai, and of course, The Belles of St Trinian's. Musical comedy is a very difficult thing to achieve, but the send-up of the Eton Boating Song that forms the basis for that film score is very clever indeed.
