Book Review: Blue Shoes and Happines, by Alexander McCall Smith
Once again, after a rather long intermission, I felt the time was right to pick up the next volume in the series. The balance between detection and domesticity is about right, and the plots are cleverly revealed without being too contrived and obscure. The cases are mostly small-fry in comparison to Agatha Christie's stories, but they share the notion of being blemishes inconsistent with their otherwise idyllic setting. This is easy on the little grey cells.
