On Friday we went with a couple of friends to Thai Nine in Reading. The menu was fairly confusing and pricing was impenetrable (the website pricing is for take-aways). This was not helped by apparently having a number of "errors" in it (that somehow couldn't be translated between the waiting staff and the kitchen) that caused one wrong dish to appear. The service was polite but, overall, rather indifferent. It's difficult to be too enthusiastic about a restaurant in a 1960s building that's just a box with huge plate glass windows making it look rather more like a classroom than anything else, although the interior lighting was imaginitive and successful. This is a shame, because when food did arrive, it was very good.
