The fruits (and leaves) of labour

Most of the time when I try a new recipe, the result is acceptable but not exceptional. Occasionally it's edible but in all other respects a bit of a disaster.

Although I can see scope for improvement, I declare today's lunch of stuffed vine leaves, sautéd in a lemon and saffron sauce, was a decided success.

In other news, the herb garden has started to take shape this weekend, but it is slow work. I've transplanted one of the thymes to make it look like something real has happened and motivate me. As a result it was heavily pruned and I have a surfeit of thyme leaves for drying.
