MS Word's grammar checker threw a strop at me today, over my use of the Oxford comma. Suspecting that this was part of The Company's migration to US English I investigated the language settings but found that this made no difference. As Wikipedia explains that this is also known as the Harvard comma, it seems quite acceptable to me, regardless of the company's chosen language.

My line manager enquired what the "other" type of comma was, so I creatively explained the Cambridge comma as "a comma that is plainly not an Oxford comma". Hmm, the temptation to add that to Wikipedia ...
